Ms Brown…

“You wont get any where in life with art.” Imagine an adult telling you that there was no future to what you enjoyed doing when you were just 9 years old.

Aside from my passion what you don't see and wouldn't know about me, is that I have epilepsy. Epilepsy is a condition that a person suffers seizures from but I have been responsible and taking my medications. Since discovering face painting and working on my own, being my own boss, I have not experience a seizure since. So in a way I have so many clients and painter friends and most of all my family since the beginning to thank so much for helping me grow. It is true what they say about surrounding yourself with positive people and people that can relate to what you know that can help make a difference and grow. So keep that in mind with what ever your goals are.

“You wont get any where in life with art.” Imagine an adult telling you that there was no future to what you enjoyed doing when you were just 9 years old. Well this is exactly what happened to me. I loved art so much growing up, to have it all come to a stop and doubting myself every time after that. I bring up this story pretty often because I believe that any child with a gift should be supported rather than be told it’s a waste of their time. I also wish someone told me it takes practice daily. Improvement in art can change each year and with continuous dedication.

I have always been the type to work hard in retail and customer service before face painting. If I notice co workers not being productive it would bother me and make me feel like there’s no reason to take any job seriously but it probably has to do with how I was raised as well as not wanting to disappoint anyone. I set goals, short term and long term and have so much I would like to accomplish. After becoming a mother in 2012 I have accomplished a lot that I never thought would take me where I am in my life today. I was told to be a stay at home mom until help was needed and once you get me going there’s not stopping me.

In 2017 I was requested to do painting on some shoes, it wasn’t until the end of the summer of 2018 that I invested in high quality leather paints and started painting more shoes, then moved on to bags, wallets, jean jackets, canvas and more. There is so much more I would like to share but until next time.

This Ms Brown signing off.
